Kevin Scarborough is the creator of The Light of Éarendel. He is an Astrologer, Wizard, Philosopher, Artist, Writer, Blogger, and a Chef. Born in a small town in the Midwest of the United States, he has been studying and practicing Astrology, Magic, Divination, Yoga, Meditation, and other esoteric arts for 20 years. Now, with this accumulation of knowledge and skill, he provides Astrological consultations, Tarot and Rune Divination, with the purpose of helping people to heal and grow into their fullest potential.
Kevin is an Aquarius, and continues to live in the Ozarks of the Midwest.
Éarendel
According to Wikipedia, Éarendel is an Old English name that means "luminous wanderer". Found in the Old English poem "Crist I", it makes reference to John the Baptist as the Morning Star who heralds the coming of Christ, represented by the Sun. This is clearly a reference to Venus as the Morning star who heralds the rising of the Sun.
So, why choose this name?
Think of it like this: the Sun represents you, your core self, you in your fullest potential. Venus, i.e. Éarendel, reflects that light, and acts as a herald or messenger of the rising of the Sun. In the same way, The Light of Éarendel, with the tools of Astrology, Tarot, and the Runes, acts as a herald assisting you in your own rising; that is, living up to your greatest potential.
It should be noted, too, that Venus is exalted in Pisces in the First House, and the Strongest Planet, in Kevin's own Natal Chart, making it a perfect fit!
